Is it just me or are there a ridiculous amount of characters with decades of history just out there not been put in a book?
It also seems yet another disastrous choice of books and direction.
Meh.

There's going to be alot of hidden teams. Uncanny xmen and Xmen both have 2 teams in one book , I wouldn't doubt if X-factor follows this formula ( like Very morrison era)
Yes there are tons of popular characters still unaccounted for.
Still hoping we see these sooner than later:
Polaris
Dazzler
Iceman
Northstar
Firestar
Synch
Bishop
Cable
Madrox
Domino
Moonstar
Sunspot
Cannonball
At least the NXM kind of have a home now.
Iceman is probably getting a solo. I’d bet on it. I’m worried about all the others, especially Dazzler and Bishop.
I think Colossus is still missing, too. Not to mention Sunfire and Banshee. At least we know Thunderbird will be appearing at some point.

This Colossus erasure will not stand.
I am a fan of the current X-Corps story in Unlimited. A big, but well handled cast of characters out of different generations.
Having such a book monthly, focusing on auxiliary X (Corps) teams all over the world would be cool.

The bold part is the problem: there are a ridiculous amount of characters in the X-Franchise. Even the ones that do show up in the comics often get nothing more than token appearances. You just have to accept that sometimes they'll get sidelined until we see them again in the future.

Oh yes, for sure!! Sunfire, Banshee and Thunderbird are actually some of my faves.
I really hope Thunderbird finally gets his due one day.
This Colossus erasure will not stand.
I forgot about him because his recent years have been horrible, but I do think he should be somewhere.
Aurora
Hope
Banshee
Sunfire
I mean... welcome to comics.

Unfortunately agree, I like some of the missing characters, but a lot of those listed are not strangers to going into limbo for periods of time. They're beloved but not flagship characters.
but please Sunspot, Iceman, Moonstar, Sunfire find good homes pls pls pls
Isn’t that the franchise in a nutshell? Only difference now is no more island fiestas to fill with background cameos letting us know they’re alive.
It would be funny if Graymalkin prison is the x-office’s new method for keeping account of unutilized mutants. “Oh, those Academy X kids you won’t stop asking about? They’re all in the slammer. Mystery solved, you’re welcome.”

Make them all Mutants who renounced their citizenships so now they have nowhere for the US to extradite them to, hence prison.
Most of my favorite characters are without a series to call home but it was expected.
