The Mandalorian was just AIGHT, maybe even kinda Overrated. Bobba Fett was a dud, and Obi Wan was a disappointing mixed bag. But i have HUGE hopes for Andor. It looks better than all of the previous shows COMBINED!!.
Hand the entire franchise over to whoever made this show and give them an unlimited budget!
What is there to add to the story when Mon Mothma and her rules of engagement in dealing with the empire only lasted with 30 years in power?
This definitely feels like the kind of Star Wars series people have been asking for.
They definitely seem to have imitated Edwards’s very grungy and wide-open cinematography… but have Gilroy’s more pragmatic view of how to mash up genres and emphasize thriller drama.
Fantastic!
Wonder if the senate scenes will feature Ian Mcdiarmid as Palpatine. Given his appearance in Obi-Wan it's certainly possible he could've filmed some scenes at roughly the same time. Kind of like his ESB DVD scene was filmed during production of ROTS.
Also expect we'll see Bail at some point too. Depending on timeline placement maybe Leia as well. (Reportedly the show covers several years).

Agreed lol
Looks like Stellan might be a forgotten father of the Rebellion.
Could we be looking at the Disney canon version of Garm Bel Iblis? https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Garm_Bel_Iblis
Although some of his attributes-doing his own thing apart from Mon and Bail's version of the alliance-are similar to Saw, I think the personalities are probably distinct enough (Saw seemed pretty paranoid and crazed by the end, Garm more of a stubborn old man).

There was another trailer today with a lot of Mothma. Seems like Mon Mothma may want to resolve things in a peaceful way, but Luthen pushes her to take a more aggressive stance.
Kind of fits a bit with her deleted ROTS stuff, where Padme was offering a similar idea.
The political and war drama Star Wars series we never knew we needed :D.

I'm halfway through the first episode and it's great.
