I don't think Exodus' durability is tk based, that can be inferred from IXM9. It is probably just a superhuman characteristic of his skin(if not one of his multiple powers outside tk)

I don't think they know, but once they ascend their will is subservient to the will of the Dominion that absorbs them, so it still makes Xavier's choice weird.

In the last issue Enigma seems to be seeking an alliance with Dominions to help him against the Phoenix which basically means they'd join a Dominion who would ally with Enigma.
