Following on from the “Atlanta is just up the road from New Orleans” discussion, Nigeria is only 4000km from Kenya. It’s basically the same place.
They don’t have the best record at writing for other countries, to be fair. In Excalibur, Pete Wisdom escaped down the retractable fire escape from his London brownstone.
Like how the entirety of Secret Empire was written as a recap, but a recap of itself. All the things you’re seeing the aftermath of simply happened off-panel.
Don’t be ridiculous.
Adam Sandler comedy.
Really good, but just too much going on in too little time at points. I would have liked to have seen a proper Inferno in Manhattan, for instance, but Inferno was over in like ten minutes.
Love the set up for Apocalypse in past, present, and future. He’s a richer character than he was back in his 90s genocidal-madman heyday and they could do some really neat stories with him as...
He senses the iron filings Mystique put in the jailer’s blood - That’s what I’m thinking of. Makes sense though that he might notice traces of metal in an environment with none.
Yes, and Excalibur should go around in an East-17-white XR3i with “Bri” and “Meg” decals in the windscreen.
As Psylocke was the slave-name Mojo gave her, I dunno. Betsy will probably end up more known by her human name like Jean, Kitty and Rachel.

Weird. Sinister is English and wouldn’t say “math”, and neither would Kieron Gillen. The dialogue feels a little shonky overall, like it’s been rushed and fixed by the sub-editor.
He can tank lethal hits because he has the jacked up physique of a VHS action hero.
I reckon Hope will eventually make her way back from oblivion if she’s with Legion - that weirdo always manages to get back into print somehow.
Did we ever find out why he’s pretending to be...
Same reason why the residents of Manhattan don’t go utterly mental from being transposed into Hell dimensions/dark ages/turned into dinosaurs on the regular.
Actually a pretty neat concept, and finally a good use for himbo x-men Angel and Havok, who are perfect for a majority blond PR squad.
We’ll soon enter a golden age of “crap on A24 films”.
X-Men ‘97 has corny soap elements, and the characters go from sublime highs -like Gambit cooking in a ridiculous crop top - to dreadful lows that actually feel impactful. It’s fun and engaging.

Actually enjoyed reading that and the thought process behind the new series, though not forgetting that this guy let Jason Aaron excrete raw effluence as an Avengers book for three years or something.
Already looking forward to the latest crop of YA schlebs disappearing forever at the end of their run.
Hope’s gonna plug the chicken.
Civil War is what happens when creators read Watchmen and think they have something important to say about characters who dress up in funny costumes, and it turns out to just be more violence porn...
