With father away policing the world, and Alfred busy preparing Wayne Manor for an upcoming fund raiser, young Master Wayne (Damian) plays hooky from Brentwood Jr. Academy, daring to test himself in a different, more dangerous nature - without a parental permission slip! This unsanctioned field trip by way of "Kryptonian Car" was the idea of Jor-El, grandfather of Damian's pal Jon Kent aka Superboy. Their destination: Nanda Prabat, the home of Damian's own, more villainous granddad - Ra's Al Ghul! But Damian, Jon, and Jor-El aren't necessarily invited, as they will soon discover via a League of Assassins welcoming party. When the dust settles and the bones heal, they will get their audience with Ra's. Jor-El offers Ra's exclusive access to scientific and technological knowledge that this Earth has yet to discover, to use as he will. Inside a specially designed compartment within the trunk of the Kryptonian Car, Jor-El reveals the cryogenically frozen body of his wife Lara, long thought dead and buried. "It has been brought to my attention that you have the means to resurrect the dying or even deceased.
