    I think they kind of wanted the series to become kind of like Game of Thrones in popularity but it didn't quite happen (The spin-off prequel miniseries and the animated film were kind of meh). Covid, Cavill retiring didn't help either.

    Still new games being developed at least (At this point, Witcher 4 and a remake of the first game).
