The irony is that "The Fall Guy" was inspired by the movie "Hooper" about the realities of being a Hollywood stuntman and what they went through. So it's a movie remake of a television series that was based on a movie.

Ah, Heather Thomas ... I remember her well.
I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.

It ran 5 season in the early 80's. Lee Majors played a stuntman who for extra cash took on bounty hunting jobs. It was an Action/Comedy and is actually a pretty fun show. I think you can stream it on Prime or Apple TV.

Out of all the properties to revive. :P

Well, okay, it was fun at times, and I hope they do it well. If so, maybe will finally get a green light on Six-Million Dollar Man.

They had toys and kids books also. Used to watch it as a kid.

If you were not a child of the 80s I'm not surprised. It went 5 seasons and starred Lee Majors of the 70s hit show Six Million Dollar Man, which went more into mainstream Pop Culture Status. You might have heard of that even to this day.
Fall Guy was an also ran of male geared shows with high flashy(sometimes high tech) vehicles of the era: Dukes of Hazzard, A-Team, Knight Rider, Airwolf or Street Hawk

Unlike DoH, KR and A-Team which seem to find more rerun potential I haven't seen Fall Guy on any of those Nostalgia channel lineups like MeTV, Antennae TV or Retro TV.

I missed most of the 1980s in television, because I was moving around and didn't usually have a T.V. But I remember reading an interview with Lee Majors at that time where he said he liked his role in THE FALL GUY because he didn't have to hold in his gut. So I've always been curious to watch the show, to see if that was true--but I've just never gotten around to it.

And then there's the movie THE STUNT MAN (1980). A great time to be at the movies in the summer of 1980.

It would be terribly ironic if there were a bunch of CG effects in this movie's action scenes. (I don't know why, but I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt to know that's the one thing they shouldn't do)

^^^That has GOT to be on somebody’s to-do list for this project. It’s too good not to be!

I did this reboot concept back in 2021, so I gotta freakin’ post it here…:
