What did he say about Lord? How hard should I brace myself?
Sounds like King was being diplomatic as possible in saying "yes Absolute Power totally interrupts the main storyline".
Its kind of spoiler-y but

the issue will be flashing back towards a few locations and events and seems like Max Lord's death is one of them. Though King also says "supposedly killed Max" so seems more like "everything is canon/everything isn't stuff

it's the "supposedly" that makes me question if King is going to revisit Lord's death. Why say "supposedly" for an almost two-decade-old story, if he isn't planning to explore it. Maybe Wonder Woman killing Lord is something that has been accepted as a result of the Lasso of Lies, and King plans to retcon it. I'm curious.
Another piece of art from the interview.
Re: bottom panel. I’m always glad when Diana is among the tallest (if not the tallest) in the room. On the other hand, had she not been in heels, she would not have been taller than Steve here. But there’s been other instances where Sampere has drawn her taller than him regardless so I’ll give this a pass.
“Look, you can’t put the Superman #77s with the #200s. They haven’t even discovered Red Kryptonite yet. And you can’t put the #98s with the #300s, Lori Lemaris hasn’t even been introduced.” — Sam
“Where the hell are you from? Krypton?” — Edgar Frog
