It would be funny if the next iteration of Ma and Pa Kent were depicted as wearing their underwear on the outside of their clothing as a quirk. At least then we'd know where Superman got it from.

I wouldn't be surprised if we get a MAWS Ma Kent moment of her adding the trunks.

To me the trunks make sense because the rest of his outfit is SO skintight, looser-fitting trunks are for modesty. From the pic, Supe's costume seems pretty thick already, so trunks on top of that make little sense. Guess we'll see when see get to see more of the outfit with the popper lighting, etc.
