Someone will definitely joke that Hickman wanted to write ASM, but didn’t want to deal with the Spider-Office crap, and therefore brought back the Ultimate universe for the sake of it.

This was supposed to be a cates thing overall but at least we'll get him on it and maybe we'll see a fun cast or a nothing at all

Welllll...I am tempted to say it's nice to have a potentially good Spider-Man comic, starring Peter, to look forward to again.

I'm pretty sure there are Hickman quotes out there saying he didn't want to do it because the fans are hard to please. No idea what he's referring to, but the fact that he's doing (what I think is) a non-616 run probably does mean that 1610 gave him more freedom to do what he wants.

Checchetto on the art is great. The chip DD run was beautiful to look at every issue

So FF, Avengers, X-Men and now Spider-Man albeit Ultimate. Think Hickman has a checklist and won’t quit until he’s written every major part of the MU?

Don't forget he was basically the backbone of the entirety of Marvel NOW. Guy's got a resume like no other.
