If it's written anything like X-Terminators, it should at least be fun. And at least it's not being written by Tini Howard.

I do wonder if they don't have enough confidence in it as an ongoing so they're doing this as a weekly...or they're also re-structuring their ongoings and this is a placeholder. Or maybe testing the waters for an ongoing?

It's probably testing waters. And also it's likely just to give Howard, Wilson and the artists a bit of a break.

Or there might be too much stuff planned already in the works and they don't want an ongoing series of this to get lost in the crowd.

Lets not forget what the competition is doing.

Marvel's Blood Hunt event is sniff a price tag of $1000-$2000 worth of books. I think it's over 100 books involve in that.

    The X-Men relaunch.

Then you toss in GI Joe, Transformers, Something is Killing Children, Disney books by Dynamite, Popeye's return to book form and others.

Along with what DC is doing with Waller.

Some folks are going to have to make some HARD choices in what they want to buy.

So an ongoing like that would get lost in the shuffle. That weekly will probably not sell as much but I think they will make up for it with the trade of that run.

There were rumours Tom was doing Aquaman wasn't there? Maybe that?

At this point I'd be happy just getting an Aquaman book.

How come they greenlit a new Green Arrow series before a new Aquaman book.

I'd guess that Williamson wanted to do it and DC was ok with it kinda spinning out of Dark Crisis.

If we believe the rumours then Manapul was supposed to draw Aquaman, but then went with Ghostmachine so likely plans fell apart and DC still hasn't figured out what to do.

Hope it's not related to Aquamen flopping so bad. Or was that always meant to be 6 issues.

Considering how fast sales plummeted and how fast they resolved everything in-time of Dark Crisis...I don't think it was intended as 6 issues.

It was a mini and took alot of online rallying to get DC to greenlight it as an ongoing
We’ve never seen anything like that before
