"I am a man of peace."
"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."
"Good-bye. Good luck. Good riddance."
Definitely a shocking death. I first learned about this scene from X-Men: TAS. And in there, yes Jean died, but was brought back to life through the Phoenix Force. I thought hat's what happened in the comics, right? Imagine my surprise when I learned no, that didn't happen in the comics:
"I am a man of peace."
"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."
Without a doubt, an All-Time Classic for the ages...

SHE-HULK faces off with STORM. It should be a terribly one-sided fight since Ororo is de-powered...or is She?

EMMA FROST is "not like the others" as she deals with Mad Jim Jaspers attempt to escape and doom our dimension in ASTONISHING X-MEN:XOGENESIS #5 (Warren Ellis/Kaare Andrews)

Eli Bradley PATRIOT has his origin story come true by receiving a transfusion of prototype CAPTAIN AMERICA Isaiah Bradley in YOUNG AVENGERS #12 (Allan Heinberg/Jimmy Cheung)
After fabricating a tale of receiving his faux super-soldier gifts via transfusion from his grandfather Isaiah Bradley, Patriot is revealed to have been using Mutant Growth Hormone to enhance his abilities. Eli quits MGH and becomes a standard costumed athlete hero. A heroic sacrifice later to save Steve Rogers during a Kree/Skull conflict on Earth, Young Patriot finds himself in need a extreme medical intervention...
I remember reading the story live and being *GASP* surprised by the revelation of Isaiah and Eli in the hospital room, even though it seems it's predictable.

When Johnny Blaze and Danny Ketch have a race, Johnny tells it like it is:
"I am a man of peace."
"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."
"Good-bye. Good luck. Good riddance."
One of my favorite scenes featuring Kingpin and Daredevil. Kingpin takes those shots and gives one back:
"I am a man of peace."
"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."
