I disagree. If the major heroes are on the team, Diana should be on it too. JL Dark proves that she can have a major storyline in a team book that shows her the ultimate respect. I even prefer her there did I did in her own title, at the time.

Basically, if Bruce and Clark are there, Diana should be too. But if either are absent then she doesn't need to be included.

I'd say anyone currently on the Titans is ruled out.

If it's a big name lineup, then:
    Batman (Bruce)
    Superman (Clark)
    Wonder Woman
    Martian Manhunter
    Green Arrow (Ollie)
    Aquaman (Arthur)
    Green Lantern (John)
    Flash (Barry)
    Vixen
    Doctor Light

John instead of Hal, and Mari and Kimiyo being there, is to avoid it being an all white team with just one token girl. The rest are the usual big names.

If it's a more experimental lineup, then:
    Robin (Tim)
    Superman (Jon)
    Miss Martian
    Green Arrow (Connor)
    Aquaman (Jackson)
    Green Lantern (Jessica)
    Flash (Avery)
    Vixen
    Doctor Light
    Blue Beetle (Jaime)

A few younger and more ethnically diverse heroes in there, Flash, Martian Manhunter and Green Lantern all swapped out for female versions, and no Wonder family representation (Donna already being a Titan), that spot instead going to Blue Beetle (a non-white guy). Vixen and Doctor Light don't get a lot of play anyway so they'd be the elder stateswomen of the team.

Strongly disagree. They're not joined at the hip as a throuple. As much as some are tired of the Big 7, I admit I'm tired of the Trinity.

Trinity means "three are one", so it's not really any surprise that some people have glommed on to the idea that they're some kind of integral triad.

The idea is not new or even Post Crisis bound. The notion of this triumvirate comes from the viability of their licenses and their historical significance and historical performance.

Yeah, they're the three characters whose solo books continued uninterrupted from the golden age to the silver age and beyond. Nobody else (superheroes, anyway) survived without being cancelled, restricted to anthologies, relaunched or rebooted. Marvel's trinity can be disputed (if you go by Avengers it's Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, but go by popularity and it's Spider-Man, Hulk and Wolverine, and the golden age one is Submariner, Human Torch and Captain America) but DC's is indisputably Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman.

That's right - the woman came on her own without a man! Feminism a la Snyder!

Well if the reason Batman didn't get canceled was because Robin doubled the sales. Than Robin should be included in the "Trinity" talk. He just as qualified.

I'm a little surprised they've kept the JL off the table for this long...but maybe it's been for the best.

The difference is, Robin didn't have his own book. In fact the third Robin got one before the first one, who didn't have a book of his own until the first Nightwing mini in the 90s.

I once came up with a Justice League roster for fun.

    It was

    > Superman (Kal-El)

    > Wonder Woman (Diana Prince)

    > Kid Quick

    > Green Lantern Jessica Cruz

    > J'onn J'onzz

    > Accomplished Perfect Physician

    > Zatanna Zatara

    > Aquaman

    > Jenny Mei Sparks

    ... So I guess that line-up.

    Green Lanterns (Hal/John/Jessica/Guy/Kyle/Baz all rotating)
    Flash (Barry)
    Aquaman
    Mera
    Martian Manhunter
    Green Arrow
    Black Canary
    Atom (Ray)
    Hawkgirl
    Zatanna
    Firestorm
    Firehawk
    Vixen
    Dr. Light (Kimiyo)
    Metamorpho
    Black Lightning
    Batwoman
    Booster Gold
    Blue Beetle (Ted)
    The Question (Vic)
    Captain Atom
    Elongated Man
    Creeper
    Rocket Red
    Fire
    Ice
    Mr Miracle
    Big Barda
    Captain Comet
    Element Woman
    Tasmanian Devil
    Red Tornado

They'd have the satellite HQ and the Hall of Justice. I'd also bring back the annual JLA/JSA team ups.
Yeah, that's the way to go, IMO. All the greats and near-greats in one book. Why would anybody want a handful of just their favorites over that?
