Stamford was the first one to come to mind. I wanna say Ultron killed everyone in some fictional country in the Heroes Return era of Avengers. Solider Field in Chicago got blown up during the Bendis run of Avengers. I'm sure there's other stuff I'm just not thinking of right now.

Ages ago, I heard a commercial jingle on TV. It was a bouncy tune that I liked and remembered. I thought it was called "Springtime Ladies". Recently I found out it was actually "Sweet Cream Ladies" by The Box Tops and it's about Hookers! The company (Sara Lee) made a big, big mistake using that song. It was pulled when they finally found out the song's real meaning.

What a bunch of maroons! All they had to do is listen to the song. It wasn't as if the lyrics were metaphorically written.

It's amazing how many daguerreotypes of people born in the 18th century (including quite a few Revolutionary War veterans) there are. I thought people who lived in the 1700's only showed up in paintings.
