Stamford was the first one to come to mind. I wanna say Ultron killed everyone in some fictional country in the Heroes Return era of Avengers. Solider Field in Chicago got blown up during the Bendis run of Avengers. I'm sure there's other stuff I'm just not thinking of right now.

What a bunch of maroons! All they had to do is listen to the song. It wasn't as if the lyrics were metaphorically written.

It's amazing how many daguerreotypes of people born in the 18th century (including quite a few Revolutionary War veterans) there are. I thought people who lived in the 1700's only showed up in paintings.

There is actually no place in the Detroit, Michigan area called “South Detroit.”

The location south of the Detroit city centre is actually the Canadian city of Windsor.

There is at least one case of someone sneaking into someone’s attic, living there, and watching them sleep.

^^^Geographically, I’m not sure; musically, Steve Perry said, when they were writing Don’t Stop Believin’, "south Detroit" sounded better in a lyric than east or west Detroit. Guess it was just a matter of the flow. He found he was technically singing about Canada after the fact.

Basically, peninsulas overlapping in the Great Lakes. The one Windsor is on reaches slightly lower than Detroit.

As a Canadian, I find this extremely cool.

Sokovia. When you heard the name in the AoU film, you knew the locals were in for a bad day.
