Is professor x a villain now?

So he's a clone of a clone (because, as I recall, Professor X was cloned by Lilandra's people back in the 80s (or late 70s) -- I can't tell you why.)

Is clone degradation a thing in Marvel? You know, make a copy of a copy of a copy, and it doesn't match the original quite as much anymore.
