Just read a preview of Deadpool’s new run and it looks like they’re already getting rid of his new love interest.

Also how’re folks feeling about there being no “Pride 2024 issue,” and instead having the X-Men: Wedding Special? I’m hoping it’s just a title change and not an indicator of less content in the book itself.

Ziglar indicated in an interview about the series that he is a fan of Valentine and hinted that we should not rule out them still appearing in the book. spoilers:
The preview does mention that Wade and Valentine are still sharing custody of Princess, so that suggests Valentine is still in Wade's life to some extent.
    end of spoilers

The announcement of the book already confirmed that it is still this year's PRIDE issue and will feature other stories and characters:

"Like previous installments of MARVEL’S VOICES: PRIDE, X-MEN: THE WEDDING SPECIAL will also feature an incredible lineup of stories written and drawn by LGBTQIA+ talent, including Tini Howard and Wyatt Kennedy, plus the Marvel Comics debuts of acclaimed writers Tate Brombal (House of Slaughter) and Yoon Ha Lee (Ninefox Gambit, Machineries of Empire)! The stories will spotlight characters like Betsy Braddock and Rachel Summers, Loki, and many more."

    The Week In Gay:

    16 new books this week!

Jackpot & Black Cat #1 of 4 - Obviously Black Cat co-stars in this, and she has a new girlfriend.

Rise Of The Powers Of X #3 of 5 - Askani is in this.

Spider-Punk: Arms Race #2 of 4 - Captain Anarchy is part of the cast.

Thunderbolts #4 of 4 - Yelena Belova is part of the team.

    And for the digital comics...

X-Men Unlimited Infinity Comic #132 - none of the explicitly LGBTQ+ characters are featured in this issue of the ongoing arc, but Wiz-Kid is featured here and he came across queer coded in Ewing's S.W.O.R.D. series and Multiple Man is also in this issue and he is at least part-gay with his gay dupes.

If I overlooked anything, please let me know.

X-Men #33 - Shadowkat is on the team. Shinobi Shaw appears in this issue too, and it looks like his bisexuality may have been subtly acknowledged in a scene where his father Sebastian is being attended to by female servants while Shinobi is being attended by muscular male servants who wear vests with no shirt underneath.

    And for the digital comics...

Marvel's Voices Infinity Comic #95 - part 1 of a new story arc. Aaron Fischer (Captain America of the Railways) returns and is up against Taskmaster!

The rest of Marvel's Pride variant covers were revealed today, and the announced also dropped the exciting news that (Living) Lightning will be returning to active Avengers duty later this year, in an as-yet-unannounced Avengers title!

That is really great news--I have been hoping we'd get to see more of Miguel since his great turn in "Avengers: No Surrender" a few years ago. I strongly suspect this unannounced Avengers project will be by Al Ewing, which also makes me really happy and I look forward to seeing who else is included. But at the very least it will be great to have Lightning back on duty!

    The Week In Gay:

Avengers #14 - "Blood Hunt" tie-in. Hercules is part of an ad-hoc Avengers team assembled to help fight the vampires.

Blood Hunters #1 of 4 - In the Dagger story she has to fight a non-binary friend who has been turned into a vampire and tries not to hurt/kill them.

Captain Marvel #8 - Yuna Yang and Lenore are supporting characters and Hulkling, Phyla and Wiccan continue to guest star.

    Deadpool #2 -

Dracula: Blood Hunt #1 of 3 - Dracula himself is bisexual and he is teamed up with Bloodline, who I suspect is queer but I don't think has been explicitly confirmed yet.

Fantastic Four #20 - Ben and Johnny's boss Gabe appears to be gay--there is a one-panel scene of him at home having dinner with his partner Matt. There is also a tabloid headline falsely claiming that Johnny and Ben are a gay couple now (I wonder if the tabloid reporter Chet Owens will reappear at some point). And although Johnny has not (yet) been officially outed as bisexual he does announce his plan to flirt with ALL of his customers as part of his strategy to win 'employee of the month'...and he gets Reed to judge which of his raised eyebrows looks flirtier. lol

Strange Academy: Blood Hunt #1 of 3 - Zoe Laveau is one of the Academy students featured in this mini.

X-Men Forever #3 of 4 - Destiny, Mystique, Askani and more appear here.

Not officially an LGBT appearance, but a shout out to Giant-Size X-Men #1 which has a flashback to young Cameron Hodge with young Warren Worthington and Candy Southern. Although Hodge has never been explicitly confirmed as queer, it was implied back when he murdered Candy that he was closeted and in love with Warren. So your millage may vary on this one.

    And for the digital comics...

Marvel's Voices Infinity Comic #100 - Kid Juggernaut is introduced here and is gay. There are also appearances by Iceman, Escapade and Aaron Fischer.

X-Men Unlimited Infinity Comic #138 - Captain Britain, Rictor and Shatterstar all continue to appear in this arc.

    The Week In Gay

11 new books out this week.

Doom #1 - one-shot set in an alternate near-future. There are cameo appearances by most of Marvel's superhero teams, so there are non-speaking cameos by Iceman, Angela, Moondragon, Deadpool, Hercules and more.

What If? Venom #4 of 5 - an alternate reality version of Loki appears and is bonded to a symbiote

X-Men: Forever #4 of 4 - Destiny and Mystique are featured here

The digital comics do a lot of the heavy lifting this week with LGBT content...

Kid Juggernaut: Marvel's Voices Infinity Comic #1 - Part 1 of 6. Origin story for Kid Juggernaut

Spider-Man Unlimited Infinity Comic #37 - Star of a new arc featuring Web-Weaver!

X-Men Unlimited Infinity Comic #139 - Captain Britain, Rictor, Shatterstar, Escapade, Tempo and Somnus all appear.

As always, if I've missed anything please let me know!

Anyone else feel like there is just not much to be excited about these days. It's all just a bunch if bit parts, cameos and background appearances.

Maybe not 100% accurate, but it feels that way.

Hmm. I can't say I feel that. There's maybe been a bit of a drop during the whole fall of the Krakoa era since most of the ongoing X-books with LGBT cast members have already ended, but we've still seen some of them have significant roles during the minis. Once the relaunch of the X titles gets started we'll start having more ongoing titles with LGBT cast members again.
