The fabled monster slayer came out of the mists of time along with the monsters appearing suddenly all over the world. unfortunately Beowulf isn't concerned about collateral damage when it comes to taking down his enemies and so Batman must bring him under control, whilst avoiding becoming another notch on his sword. if they can come to terms though, Batman may just have a place for Beowulf in this new world! Batman Inc. is woefully short on experienced monster slayers and dealers in magic, Beowulf would be the hammer he needs to bring that part of the world under control!
The United Nations announce the passage of the first draft of the Deployment and Sustainable Control of Meta-Human Activity. In thirty days all meta-humans will report to the Bat and his organisation!

It’s Fleet Week in Blüdhaven and Nightwing has to deal with a Sailor named Harry Cook who’s brought back several diamonds from overseas and intends to sell them on the black market. This leads him into trouble though when a group of hitmen from the past head out to reclaim the diamonds and stop Cook in the process. Cook wants to give the diamonds to his girlfriend, Claire Thrush, but Nightwing helps out, suggesting another tactic. However, when Nightwing’s proposed plan goes awry and Dick ends up sleeping with Claire, things get tense between the two as the Sailor believes Nightwing is working for the hitmen and calls up his friends in ARGUS to take him out. And they, believing Nightwing has turned rogue, send a makeshift Suicide Squad to Blüdhaven to bring him down! Can Nightwing make up for his mistake by solving his multiple problems that he now has, whilst keeping the diamonds from falling into the hands of his new ally, Samuel Thorne?
