I imagine it will make mine too. You can't go wrong with these guys.

I also got Pulp in the same mail order. One of the few gaps in my Brubaker/Phillips collection. They're going to need their own shelf on my bookcase soon!

Any chance Kill or Be Killed OHC is coming back in print in 2024?

I loved these guys circa Sleeper and Criminal but couldn’t tell you the last time I enjoyed one of their books.

So I kinda chucked them e.g Pulp, Kill or be Killed, Fatale, The Fade Out.

Is there something that might get me back into them?

You could try the Reckless graphic novels. That's more akin to a detective serial like Jack Reacher or Easy Rawlins.

There are literally "Criminal..." books that came out after the books in blue...

Charlie Hunnam is cast as Leo, the protagonist of "Coward", the first arc of Criminal.

While I am glad that they have cast seemingly solid actors so far?

I really think that just sticking to the source material has more weight than that.

    Stick to it?

Even just solidly competent actors should be able to do something completely worthwhile.

    That said?

The "Leo.." character description was a cute wink to the folks that are totally caught up on the comics.
