X-MEN 31 Preview.

It's unfortunate because I still like the title but I feel X-Men has lost a lot of momentum. It started FoX strong after the Gala but since the Latverian mutants introduction it's fallen down the ladder of interest for me. At the moment I'm more excited about Rise, Fall, Resurrection, Dead, and Unlimited. Hopefully it picks back up soon and comes in for a strong landing.

My prediction: Synch will make a big play or some big sacrifice where he has to use a power in such a big way that it burns him out and he dies of old age. As he is dying he is in his mindscape with Talon, holding each other til the end knowing that Talon will die when he dies. And then Synch is resurrected and all alone because for some reason they cant resurrect Talon because she is in his mind without a backup, which they already knew as Synch was dying.

Apparently he's still alive 10 years into the future after almost everyone else has fallen to Orchis. Enh.

I'm thinking Duggan's X-Men is just his book to tie up loose ends while engaging with and mentioning Orchis, by the way. The direct full on battle should be in FotHoX and when it merges with RotPoX.

Isn't Jean's telepathy omega level? Heck I don't even see why that should even matter there's so much messed up about everything they've done to Everett's powers most of this is a joke. I don't get highlighting a character to crap on it and under utilizing it just to send him off unceremoniously.

I don't think being Omega or not changes anything, it's about how much he is recalling the power and it seems to be "on" 24/7, which is extremely taxing. Plus the level of the power he is utilizing must be high, he's holding an entire mind together after all.
