A thought. Somewhere along the way I feel like Leech lost his bestie. Can Leech get a phone call or something? What's going on? Not like this.

I agree. Artie and Leech were good buddies of Franklin and they'd be a nice touch for his characterization. I blame the whole "is he a mutant or isn't he?" hubbub for busting up those three amigos. And while we're on the subject, the FF needs their outside acquaintances back. More than just Johnny and Pete or Reed and the Illuminati.
I’ll don the mask and wear the cape
If I am super, how can I wait?

Way, way, way-back, in Marvel, '60s, '70s
Tony had a mustache as always. Odin had a beard. Various villains (Wizard, Stranger) had mustaches, and when you think of the artist/creator, that era, a mustache or goatee did put a sinister cast on most characters, movie or otherwise.
But I'm off that era and over the decades, men's facial hair has mostly been a given. In nearly every workplace or friends/community I've been in, the bare-faced men was more likely in the minority.
So I'm curious to this dislike of mustaches and such. Seems pretty normals and standard to me.

And sex, and ethnicity, and sexual orientation…. Soon it’ll be discriminating against hair color, eye color, boob size… Ugh. It’s ACTING… being something you’re not. But yeah, they’ll probably get an actual blind person to play her. Wait, did people have a fit when Charlie Cox was hired to play Daredevil?
Reminded that Lyonne played visually impaired in MCU adjacent BLADEverse. Not a great movie, but TRINITY did well with the suspense when her character (and her daughter!) gets caught in a game of cat and mouse with Dracula in the team's abandoned headquarters.
I don't think she's Alicia Masters mostly because that would likely be an ongoing role and I don't see Lyonne making an extended commitment to a series in a lesser role.
The idea of Malkovich and Lyonne playing father/daughter is an exciting one, however.
There is, of course, the possibility that this Alicia could be a one-off character given the suggested plot framework so...

Anyone read "Doom" this week? Really interesting portrayal of Valeria. Sort of evil and being lumped in with the likes of Kang, Doom, and the Maker.
They need to keep with the "uncaring" child genius angle. I like it. Gives her depth
