Marvel Comics announced X-Men: Heir of Apocalypse back in March, and today, they’ve revealed the mutants competing to be Apcoalypse’s successor. The mutants include Cable, Cypher, Emma Frost, Exodus, Forge, The Gorgon, Mister Sinister, Mirage, Penance, Rictor, Wolverine, and Armageddon Girl. The four-issue biweekly series kicks off in June.

During the initial debates in March, Cable, Rictor and Nature/Armageddon girl were thought as the most likely candidates...

Well, with the news and synopsis for upcoming books we had since then, Laura and Emma are definitively out of the running, and so is Forge. I mean, none of them were exactly top contenders, but the synopsis for the main upcoming releases set after this mini already state one fourth of the contestant are not gonna win but survive. Great move!

Also, I am betting Rictor. Hoping to be surprised.

I wouldn't discount Forge. His powers seem to have evolved at the beginning of X-force.
Also, Exodus could be a contender. He does believe in Krakoa a LOT.

Unless its the almost obvious Cable . Id say Forge us a high choice beacuse if the ypcoming power upgrade mentioned

The suit was totally the writers but I doubt it has anything to do with Being the Heir

We know this was in the works before Brevoort took over. I doubt it’s any of the characters that we’ve seen announced so far.

Mostly because I’m pretty sure that becoming Apocalypse turns you blue.

Your wrong Apocalypse is grey and Blue skin like angel was because he became a Horseman of Death. All Apocalypse did was wear a suit if Armor he already was a grey skinned Immortal Mutant
