I hope this means that in future seasons, Scott and Jean will finally conceive Rachel for her to exist here (and in Cable's future where Bastion won).

It is interesting that she nearly made it into the DOFP movie but the lack of an alive Scott and Jean meant she couldn't be used for the future X-Men. I still think they should have followed Claremont's suggestion to reveal Rachel as Scott and Jean's teen daughter when the present is fixed.
