I was impressed by Nate Grey revamp in Counter-X and am curious about how he fared during his stint in NEW MUTANTS.

Nate likes those Death Gals eh? Threnody with her her Death fueled energy blast, Back from the Dead Demon Queen Madelyne, Dani Moontar the Midgard Valkyrie.
I thought that, in theory, the pairing of the War Chief with the Shaman of the Tribe sounded like a good match. With Dani's romantic history, Im curious to read up on it.

imagine Nate 'Xman' interacting with Young Cable... and Rachel. That is the book I want not even a major enemy, just give me three issues of them interacting and stopping some dumb small threat

I've seen quite a few people speculating that we might be seeing the Age of Apocalypse and even the lead up to Onslaught for season 2 of X-Men'97. If that's true I just hope we get to see a good portrayal of our boy Nate.

Well then we come back to the old chestnut of who Nate is. The one we saw at the end of season 1 was definitly a young Cable, technoarm and all. I think that was the scene that sparked the speculation. Seeing Nate would mean we are doing Age of Apocalypse and we dont' get an AU Cable, instead we get a Nate. It would be very fun but I doubt it, it just seems complicated for no reason.

They are not doing AOA Nate isn't in the cartoon. They showed Jean and Scott in the near future. They see Morher Askani and a young man named Nathan Summers aka Cable not X-Man.
