I'm curious what direction Shroud is going to go now since the conflict with him appears to be resolved.

It would not shock me if issue #8 is entitled Shroud, and Max gets to be the one in the chair. Whether he joins the Mission as well could go either way.

(I like the idea that the last issue is a spotlight on Marc/Steven/Jake, just to bring it home).

That feels like something his mom would call him rather than the press.

I feel like William would wanna call himself Moon Tiger or Crescent Claws.

Where is the MIDNIGHT MISSION located geographically? MARVEL's Manhattan or are Greer, Marc etc still on the West Coast? I can't find a reference to city in my perusal...

Somewhere in New York City. The precise borough has not been revealed, but I think that we can assume it's not Hell's Kitchen (that's Matt's patch, after all).

I sort of get a Brooklyn vibe from it, but that's just me.

Brooklyn feels a good guess. As noted Hells Kitchen is Matt/Daredevil territory. However that is only one aspect of Manhattan. Is Manhattan big enough to accommodate both? Likewise I feel Queens is left for Spider-man/Peter.
It is not Harlem, left for Luke Cage and a few others.

Manhattan has 1.6 million people. I think it's large enough.

Isn't Harlem also in the Manhattan burrow?

    Do we consider the Bronx?

Harlem is in the northern area of the borough of Manhattan, yes.
I looked again at VENGEANCE OF MOON KNIGHT #1 and saw a geographic reference to the area that the MISSION protects from when the heroes covered for them while they sat shiva for Marc: Gramercy/Chelsea/Hells Kitchen or across the river in Brooklyn look about right.
