It can feel like there was a general mentality or even mandate to mostly ignore the fact that everyone who got cloned back to life would lack the memories of the original/previous version that weren't in the Cerebro backup file they used to creat the new version. Doubt they'll give greg a writer not up to the level of his art so imo it's likely an amazing writer.
