Default If These Superheroes are the Top 9, Who is #10?

OK who will round out the Top 10 MOST POPULAR DC SUPERHEROES OF ALL TIME?

*Note--we will be counting superhero characters as "brands." So "Robin" refers to all Robins. Same with the Flash. Etc. And we will NOT be considering Harley Quinn because she is not a superhero, as decided by you the voters!

If we accept that the below 9 characters are the 9 MOST POPULAR DC SUPERHEROES OF ALL TIME, then who is #10???

    (In order of first appearance):

    SUPERMAN
    BATMAN
    The FLASH
    SHAZAM (Captain Marvel)
    ROBIN
    GREEN LANTERN
    WONDER WOMAN
    GREEN ARROW
    AQUAMAN

    Who is next???

First character that popped into my head was HAWKMAN
"My name is Wally West. I'm the fastest man alive!"
I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter.

    Hmmm that's tough but...
    either Black Canary, or Constantine.

    Black Canary:

    Starred in bop TV show
Co starred in the bop movie
Headlined the first bop run that lasted ten years
Alongside her soul mate (Ollie) she's usually considered the 8th/9th steady jla member
Pretty much DC's second super heroine that's not attached to a brand (Supergirl/Batgirl)

    Constantine:

    Starred in a movie
Has had a few of his own DC animated short films, often appears in others.
The first Hellblazer run ran a staggering 25 years!!!
Pretty much surpassed Dr. Fate & Z as the most popular magic user.

Other considerations, Supergirl, Batgirl, Cyborg & Hawkman.

If we just look at characters that have been able to support long running solo books I think Catwoman, Deathstroke and Harley Quinn are also likely candidates.

    We are only considering "superheroes."

Well, we've got multiple mentions for Hawkman, Black Canary, Martian Manhunter, Supergirl & Batgirl so far. But I'm hoping for more input! #10 is an important position!

Looking at their old marketing materials and house ads as they exited the 70s:
Tier 1=Captain Marvel, Batman, Superman, and WW
Tier 2=Supergirl, Green Arrow, Flash, Hawkman, PlasticMan
Tier 3=Aquaman, Batgirl, Hawkwoman, Robin, Green Lantern

The top tier made sense. But I was giving total Scooby Rah ooo? on the others. A magazine indicated there was a "variety show" with the DC heroes that ran so I am guessing these people's placement have to do with that?

Well, it appears you have decided on SUPERGIRL.

Makes sense. And the first non-Golden Age character to make the list.
