Then when he asked her to read his dirty sex ideas she didn't want to. The third issue yeah? And they had issues before that according to Wolverine in the first issue
more like acording to Morrison they always had problems, like every couple has problems.
It i smore of one of Morrison dumb writings, she could had read and it would make for a better story. Much more shockign than scott being unable to talk.

Morrison tends to not always see the implications of his writing.

I think it was more then just normal couple problems as Wolverine has been giving couple tips to both Scott and Jean and Beast noticed the same thing and had the same conversation with Jean.
The problem was not that Scott felt bad after being possessed by Apocalypse the problem is he felt good

For me seemed like a very common couple problem, Scott just needed to open up

What what Wolverine said both needed to open up. Scott wanted Jean to read his mind but she didn't want to
They both out grew one another and went in different directions

Seems more like lack of communiation by writing plot holes

Every mistake any character ever makes in a comic is a plot hole. What's your point?

And in the conversation when Jean and Wolverine are in the woods Jean expresses that things would go back to being the same and and feels lonely but more powerful then ever and Scott himself wants change.
Ironically the Phoenix is the agent of change.

Bad writing
She pretty much said to Scott that she miss him touching her.
Yes she did. So it made no sense to continue that affair with emma unless he had real feelings for her. Its not like Jean was denying him her bed. so why did he keep going back to emma even if it was all in his head. Jean is also a telepath, she may not be a sex therapist but I am sure she and Scott could still have done some marital activities in his head like the psyshci affair he was having with emma

He is what you call an anti status quo guy. This is not the first time he ruined or tried to ruin the central couple of a series. when he wrote batman, he tried to write out catwoman as an irrelevant love interest and use Thalia to replace her as batman's true love. I think this is what led to the birth of batman's son.
Not surprised he ruined Jean and Scott too. However he is a good writer unlike Chuck Austen

He definitely did no such thing. We're not meant to come away from his run on Batman thinking Talia is a good long term romantic partner even if she is the mother of his son. He barely used Selina, but they're team up was presented as being cute, healthy and fun for them, more so than anything Bruce got from Talia.
He didn't ruin Scott and Jean. Comic book couples have bounced back from dumber **** than that.

A better writer for sure, but good? he is hit or miss

Morrison completely trashed Talia. no one got out of his run thinking Tali was Bruce greatest love, she was responsible for the damian dead

Jean said no to reading his mind because a married isn't based on mind reading or mutant powers. Something he himself said after the Betsy/Kwannon stuff

And despite the changes after Apocalypse, he wasn't unable to confront a loved one with hard emotional questions...he did just that with his Father in the Uncanny issue right before Eve of Destruction
NXM Scott was just warped in order to fit a predetermined outcome

the last two years show that Scott loves Jean

(erased Emma and Wolverine because it was akward and I'm not trying to bash other ships. Just pointing that Scott loves Jean)

These were some of the few times they got to interact after Morrison (becuase one of them was dead), it is incredible but they have interacted very little since.
