UXM 11 variant
Huh. So, Gambit's on the main AND variant covers for #11. Does that mean he will be back from Mojoworld in time for the conclusion?

Both covers appear to be referencing the early 90s, so I wouldn't take it as an indication of that.

No. It is just a variants with cool X-Men so people will buy new Uncanny.
The cover is nice, wonder what the ratio will be and availability of getting it. It does look classic.

Happy Birthday!
Mackie did incredible job with Gambit in 1st LS. It it just insane how much of depth, history and villains he created for Remy in 1 arc. No other writer was even close.
Gambit coming in second during the X-Awards is one of the best parts of this years awards. It's especially nice that the only character that beat him out was Jean, and she likely got some votes just due to the fact that she was finally allowed to come back to life.
Jean genuinely had a good year though. She returned with a bang and was thrust into a high profile role as leader and face of the X-men, getting the push and promotion for the line. She arguably was the lead character going into the latter half of 2018

Weeks' art fits the moody tone so well too, as well as being one of my favourite depictions of Remy.

Great post! Mackie's Gambit mini-series from 93 was a great first solo series for Gambit. I really liked the story revolving around Gambit's backstory in New Orleans and saving Belle, his coupling with Rogue was very well done, and the art was the cherry on top. Such good memories reading that mini as a kid.
