Kitty a neo! I’m calling it now
Fun issue, but not really a fan of the dialog and the plot doesn't seem interesting to me. I think I'll pick up a trade.
Top men. lol that made me chuckle.
What are you guys finding off about the dialogue? I actually prefer this to Hickman speech.

Same, it came off as fun after weeks of so much serious writing. Great start, loving Kate especially after Gold and Uncanny, she needed this great personality reboot.
Said it in the other thread, but with the Chillun back in the picture it makes sense the Neo would come up too. I thought Hickman might touch on them but I’ll be amazed if Duggan is actually picking up the insanely obscure “Kitty the Neo” thread instead. I’d love to see those crazy characters addressed.
That said: IIRC the Neo were mutants.
That panel is confirmation that Kitty is the One Besides All. :p

Well, yes and no. Part of their thing was that they were mutant enough to be hurt by High Evolutionary's anti-mutant thing (and later the Decimation). However, they weren't mutant enough to escape the Evolutionaries culling.
I enjoyed this issue, but it felt a little scattered compared to the last 13 weeks of Hickman.
It jumped around a lot and felt forced in some areas. While I actually like this version of Kitty, it really did not seem like Kitty at all.
I think once Duggan finds his groove, it will be a really great book!

Dont know much about the neo expect that they are supposed to be very strong. Does Pryde's power equal that of the neo?

They were a different, 'more evolved' strain or some such nonsense. Claremont was never very clear.

Emma's dialogue could use some improvement. I thought her voice was kinda generic.
I am underwhelmed, to be honest, specially considering I was looking forward to this. Not only by the insanely dumb idea of (apparently) addressing the Neo bullshit again, which should be enough to make one forbidden of ever coming close to the X-men, but because it just seemed to be trying to hard to be cute and make Kate a thing.
And I wonder who was Emma's second choice.
Could have been the first, for all we know.
Not sure I'll last the course on this but it definitely made Kitty likeable. I'll see how the issues go on from here.
Are Storm and Wolverine Kitty's parents now?
