Fantomex doesn't deserve Reis art.
I'm here for the art.

But we do. Reis makes this worth a read. It would probably be more of a chore if they got some C tier artist to pencil it

Assault on Weapon Plus was one of my favorite arcs from New X-men. I loved Fantomex working with Scott and Logan. It was a fun story full of weird sci-fi ideas. I think Hickman will do very well with The World and with Fantomex. I expect a lot of overindulgent weirdness in this story.
The art is amazing. Fantomex is a very underrated mutant. Happy to see him getting some spotlight.
Oh good, the art is totally not my thing. Neither is the character. Looks like i can skip this one without remorse.

Same here. People tend to hate on him.
Don't think anyone has actually (successfully) explained why they're not a fan.

Totally agree. Of all the writers to do Fantomex and The World, I think Hickman has the chops to do it right.
Like so much of Morrison's run, Fantomex and his backstory have been twisted a bit -- not as bad as Cassie/Ernst, but enough that I find myself hoping that Hickman can course-correct the character a little bit.
-Pav, who also liked that oneshot with Fantomex, Wolverine, and Noh-Varr...
I hope it's better than the magneto one. That was pretty disappointing

It was definitely better than the Magneto issue and I honestly might rank it above the Nightcrawler issue.
This issue was definitely better than the Magneto issue.
Some interesting things brought up in this issue.
I'd say for now Jean and Emma> Fantomex> Nightcrawler> Magneto.
this was kinda a snooze fest for me. I hope the storm one is better.
The continuity of this is confusing... I need to look again, but no way the Thunderbolts were around a decade before Morrison’s X-Men.
Honestly I didnt even notice or mind it. I dont think X-fans care about the Thunderbolts. Just saying.
