Just adding my two cents. Not a fan of King's interpretation of Bruce & Selina's relationship. It's too dark, and there isn't enough fun moments to balance that. I miss Selina's long hair.

It's definitely been a journey to get here.
Definitely one of the Batman comics ever published.
Ah yes, the era that set Bat/Cat back by decades and something it may never recover from
It's funny, because I think when it comes to endings, King nailed the perfect ones for both Bruce (annual#2) and Selina (the Bat/Cat holiday special), this series felt some unnecessary in light of them.
Cannot believe how long it has been, it feels like yesterday these boards were aflame with either high praise for King or seething hate for King.
I for one am excited to see his ending for a character that at first I didn't think he was suited for but now think he is one of the few writers that actually did something with our Dark Knight
Spoilers are up at BC

Made him even mopier (if that's possible)?

I wonder if this will make it all worth it for some...

I mean it's something as opposed to rehashed stories from the past
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Read it. A pretty flat ending all things considered. This has to be the worst Helena's ever been depicted, the final twist at the beach was interesting.
The bedroom talk between Bruce and Selina and wedding were easily the best bits and could have slotted neatly into King's final regular Batman issue if they'd wanted it to.
Certainly a unique read, I should never go back to this comic book again.
I see someone over on Reddit has already edited Batman#85 so it includes the Bat Wedding.
To those reading, so is Alfred always alive in the present day or there's some resurrection happening in this branch of timeline?
Read the series…didn’t care for it….Batman was marginalized to empower Catwoman…the Phantasm angle was a misdirect. Helena was a massively witch of a character. I am glad this story was not used in the main continuity. Shows that except for Alfred’s death…King left the book at the right time. After re-reading the entire series in one sitting…4 out of 10…mostly for the art. Just didn’t like the book.
