I'd be more worried about if Dumbledore can be rocketed in the face. He's the one that needs to worry here, not Iron Man.
guess it depends on where the fight takes place. if it is in the world of Hogwarts then the iron man is screwed as "muggle" tech cannot operate in the dense magical atmosphere or something. :p

Fight defaults to the arena. And Iron Man's tech has operated just fine around Doctor Strange, so I don't see magic energies alone being enough to shut him down.

Being around Strange doesn't give you immunity in the HP universe. Not saying his tech wouldn't work but being around different magic doesn't help his case. Moot in this case anyway as it's in Khazan.

Iron Man stomps on both with that condition.
Otherwise the first fight is arguable.

As far as I'm aware Marvel's magic does not have any showings of messing with tech just by being around it. So this isn't some advantage of Tony's tech, just something that Marvel magic doesn't do.

You're right. My bad.

yeah I know but its interesting to speculate about what will happen if he gets transported to the Hogwarts world. most likely the armor will crash as a plot ploy as seen when he time travelled and got caught in a wormhole and when he got transported to Asgard. :p

Dumbledore can do other things besides transmute people, you know.
Although, I can't think of anything that would go through that thick armor, transmutation or not.

Maybe if he deliberately did a bad job apparating Iron Man and telefragged him? Splinching, I believe it was called in HP canon.
in contest of champions 2 iron man said that his armor had defenses that prevented the coterie from teleporting the armor separately or introducing any nanites in his system. of course it may prove ineffective against magical teleportation but still it worked in the case of mechanical teleportation so maybeee it could counter splinching although worse case the armor will crash due to magical teleportation rendering all his defenses zilch. :p
Have any of the Potterverse folks ever demonstrated defenses against high energy or physical attacks? The wizards trot around the real world. So, if someone took a Glock to Harry as a surprise, he just dies? They don't block tech in the real world.
Anyway once the wizard kids see the Iphone, they will tell the grownup wizards to modify the tech ban. Drinking butter beer and some talking newspaper cannot compete.
Yeah pretty much, the smarter wizards said as much in Prisoner of Azkaban. They warned the other wizards not to mess with Sirius Black when he had a gun which they described as "A kind of metal wand Muggles use to kill each other". :D
*ahem*
"Tank missile!"
:D
So this comes down to a reaction time test. A spell versus a multitude of possible physical weapon attacks. Dumby doesn't survive what is coming at him if he can't stop it from coming.
