Who could PASS The Crucible? (X-Men #7 spoilers!)

As we've seen in X-Men #7, depowered mutants can regain their mutant abilities if they undergo a test known as The Crucible. We saw one character go through the challenge, but how do you think other depowered mutants would fare in this test?

I know he was already repowered through other means but I want to see a romantic and dramatic scene with Blob doing It for Betsy's love <3

I do not understand very well the question. "Survive" implies that you surrender or that you won over Apocalypse? Because not even the Captain America could win Apocalypse in a sword duel.

Seems to me less about someone being able to defend themselves and more about them wanting badly enough to have powers restored. I'm sure there are a few people on that list that might be okay with being human.

Valid point, I moreso meant pass the test and get their mutant graces back instead of staying just another flatscan.

You do not need to win Apocalypse, that's impossible. You just need not to give up. Anyway, Prodigy probably knows fencing due to being close to Betsy and Kurt, so he must have fought better than most.

Survive? The point of the challenge is for the applicant to gain the courage to face death.

The problem with the Decimation now, is that all the interesting mutants were long ago restored and this list is a sad sac of z-listers, except maybe Scanner & King Bedlam.

The reason Melofy Guthrie was chosen, is because of her last name and interactions with her family during the issue.

I'm super curious about Prodigy and Leah's story on how he gets his powers back.

What about Artie? Is he still a fake mutant? Are there not other 'fake mutants' who got their powers back by artificial means after M day? Blob, Iceman, Polaris? I can't keep track anymore.

I can see Illyana signing up for The Crucible just to fight Apocalypse.
