Finally picked up an Earth X trade I've been looking at for years, but couldn't convince myself to buy. Kept seeing discussions where bits from it would be brought up, figured I had to see what was in it for myself. Halfway through, seems fun (well, depressing but good).
Another spending spree. Please, someone stop me :-P

I actually finally convinced myself to buy Earth X after years of debating it. Haven't started yet.
Before that, Saga Vol 3 was the last thing I bought and read.
Earth X was interesting as it took the approach to tie everything in the Marvel Universe together years before Ultimate Origins did. It was a very good read, though would probably benefit from a few additional reads as well as some further research. I was foggy on the Inhumans, the Kree and the Eternals and all that plays heavily into the glue of the story.
Last weekend I bought Sweet Tooth vol 4 and Sex Criminals vol 1. Both good, solid reads.
I was hoping to get Hawkguy vol 3, but it's not out for another 5 1/2 weeks! Being a trade-waiter sucks sometimes.

I googled "Daytripper" as I was unfamiliar with it, and Wal-Mart came up as a seller in a box off to the right. Didn't even know they sold trades (other than the $5 Marvel introductory trades I saw at my local store). I'm not a huge fan of Wal-Mart, but that's pretty cool.

I just bought Daytripper. Might bump it up in the queue over Earth X. Really excited about reading it.

Whoa, really? I didn't know that either! Like you, I'm really not a fan of Wal-Mart, but I definitely, definitely recommend reading Daytripper. It was absolutely amazing.

I haven't read Earth X, but like I mentioned before, I will never stop recommending Daytripper to anyone and everyone. It was one of the best stories I've read, period, and the art was absolutely gorgeous. It's one of those books that just stays with you after you read it. Really amazing stuff.
I'll have to talk to my local shop about ordering it. Unless they happen to have a copy (they're a bit iffy with their trade selection though).
I recently was at Amoeba Records and picked up some older stuff to do reviews on for our throwback days
Batman Castle of the Bat
The Spectre Infinite Crisis Aftermath
Robin a Hero Reborn
Legion of Superheroes Enemy Manifest
Batman A lonely Place of Dying.
