My thoughts exactly. I had my worries, but Data and Seven of Nine... man, I am daring to have hope!

That was legitimately awesome. I can only imagine what Star Trek: Sisko will be like!
...I'll see myself out, thanks.
I remember growing up on Star Trek: The Next Generation.
I remember stuffing my comforter into the crack under my door so that I could watch Next Generation on my 13", 13 channel after my bedtime :)

13 channels? Were you fed grapes in your life of luxury too? :)
In all seriousness, spending several hours with TNG was how I went to bed every night as well at that age.
I'm going to confess, I rolled my eyes when I saw that the impetus for this story was...a young women with extraordinary powers.
I got serious Firefly vibes from it, and I hate Firefly.
So there seems to be some weird connection between the Romulans and the Borg. Kind of reminds me of the '09 reboot's spin-off/tie-in material, which had the Romulans outfit the Narada with Borg tech, explaining it's look in the movie not looking anything like a mining vessel or Romulanish.
I was happy as hell seeing the borg again.
There’s been a suggestion online that [spoil]the mysterious girl is the offspring of Locutus and the Borg Queen.[/spoil]
Interesting if that’s true.
I was surprised how good this looked. When I first heard they were doing this show I was like why, but this looks really good.
That trailer is amazing, and as far as the mystery of the girl when I first saw the trailer there was one thing or should i say "letter" that comes to mind.
I SO want Q to show up. After all, the trial never ends. :p

Interesting if that’s true.
I thought the same, too. It ties into the 'Lonely Old Man looks back on his life with regret' trope this series may be mining along the lines of Logan.
Eh.... I honestly thought the trailer came off as a little boring.
Not that I think the actual show will be boring... but it looked kinda slow.
Course, I'll still watch. I'm a big fan of Discovery so I'm sure this show will be cool.

That's literally the line that popped up in my head.
"What do you want, Q?!"
I need to hear Picard shout that one more time.
Gotta have Worf pulling out a phaser when Q appears.... Cause that's totally gonna make a difference.
