Didnt she get a solo? Did that do nothing for her?
Years later. 2016 was a little late, and was magic detective stuff. What I was expecting after the I want to spend more time with my spiritual babies and right my wrongs was a character focused story that did those things. Not an event where she only appears a few times, and only helps power new mutants. Then the mess of UA, lol. It was just so off.
Hes the x-men writer, for many years wanda was absolved and protected from any consequences or acountabiity from the xmen, because as you said she was allowed to be a lady and have an army of avengers protecting her and claiming that she was inocent and redeemed, as the x-men were shown as unresonable villains because they didnt immediatly offer wonza her "Redemption", but it didnt matter because she was a hero even when cyclops and others were reduced to terrorist status.
Wanda hasn't been absolved or protected, she nerve recovered in or out of universe from Avengers: Disassembled or House of M. Some writers have tried to fix it, but nothing sticks because other writers just ignore the progress she's made or like the status quo so she must fail. You want to read Wanda in her prime, read Busiek's Avengers. She hasn't been able to get back to that state for nearly 2 decades.
Numerous X-men have done exactly like she has in finding redemption, villains too, yet she's singled out.
Cyclops and co. were also able to have completer redemption arcs. In the comics the event of the F5 are over. Wandfa's still haunts her to this day and was a catalyst for what's going on in Empire: X-men. Cyclops and Emma are having the time of lives in Krakoa.
She caused an entire saga of pain and destruction for dozens of characters, then managed to be painted as a hero in the conclusion of said story arch when the victims of her actions were reduced to villains.
So did many, many villains who belonged to Krakao and none of them regret any of the pain they caused. If you think they are villains in those storylines why is what they were doing being supported? She wasn't given this in Avengers: Disassembled or House of M. Because she is an actual hero who, just like every other hero in Marvel, had bad writing ruin her and it stuck because writers had grudges rather than getting to know her real character. If everyone truly thought she was a hero they wouldn't constantly putting her in bad situations, instead they keep stacking them up.
So honestly having recently reread that era and how the narrative made sure to protect wanda on the virtue that shes an avenger, and the fact the reread took two weeks, I honestly dont care about wanda being shitted on because the x-men as a whole had a a decade of that
When have you ever cared about Wanda? Did the reread include Avengers books?
This rivalry between the Avengers and X-men is bizarre. How about we all agree that bad writing shouldn't be encouraged, rather than acting like it's two sports teams?
Now the shoe is on the other side and its time for an x-men writer to adress an x-men story and its main villain on its own terms thinking only of whats good for the mutants, not what's good for one washed up avenger only zub seems interested to use.
Bendis was an X-men writer, so was Hickman. You got this in two stories, three if you count Empyre. More people would be interested in her if writers stop ruining her because someone liked "Darker then Scarlet" too much.
Sorry that your favorite character is being roasted, she pratically caused 7 years of near apocalyptic extinction stories and you cant expect an x-men writer to just ignore hundreds of issues.
No, the editors did because they ended a plot device to lower the number of mutants. She made a horrible mistake that she's been remorseful every since and tried to fix! Multiple times!

Which would have to get better just to be ridiculous.
You are talking like a recovering alcoholic should get to decide if an attempt at making amends should be enough for the folks they have wronged.
Which, again, is utterly nonsensical.

The next event in a mini series of X Men will be all the mutants on Krakoa choking on the fart cloud that Wanda will release due to a misconception that the mutants are still depowered and are in need of t-mists to repower up as no one knows about crucible. Seriously how did no one noticed that the genosha mutants have been resurrected by Krakoa? Ate they keeping the resurrected folks in isolation? If they had communicated proper authorities that the genoshians have been or will be resurrected this whole mess would have been avoided. X Men's need for secrecy is going to bite them in the ass once again sometime in the future.

1) they still haven't Resurrected all Genoshans
2) how did you turn this into the X-Men fault instead of Wanda lmao, as if resurrecting 16 million people (and failing to do so) is something that the "authorities" would ask Wanda to do lol she did it by her own volition and she caused a huge mess.
Wanda has no business in knowing what the X-Men are up to. She didn't care for so long, she can keep her spells to herself.

1) This is a curious subject since those mutants technically aren't their citizens and those who are resurrected shouldn't all be blindly ok with accepting Krakoa. Genosha was also a state which multiple factions vying for power and would get into mini-wars over it, Magneto had to constantly smack them all down to keep them in line and this made him lot of enemies. Who all came for him when Sinister turned them human in the "Powerless" saga.
2) She's an incredible powerful sorceress in her own right, who wants to heal that destruction she caused. Why wouldn't they want to help her do this successfully? Denkota bought up an insightful question - exactly where are the Genosha mutant and what do they think of what's going on? There should be a sizeable portion of them in Krakao by now. Krkaao's a legitimate government that are endowed by the United Nations.
Krakao isn't the X-men, it's a nation that has X-men in it. The problem is Krkaao thinks nobody should know what they're up to. They closed that up real quick, it's a problem and nobody speaks up about what doubts they have outside the group. This is partially why it's viewed as a cult. Cults don't like outsiders looking in their business because they might do something about it when they discover horrible things that the locals think are fine. How long are Selene and Apocalypse, once he gets his magic system up and running, going to "keep their spells to themselves?" My guess is it's a matter if when not if they do that. Genocidal lunatics with no compunction for remorse is a ticking time bomb for everyone.

The onus is on Wanda to ask for help from literally anyone before doing deals with literal demons to ressurect the death. Not for Krakoa to monitor Wandas every move because she's an idiot.
-
Wanda resurrected 16 million zombie mutants to a pile of dirt and rubble and had ZERO plan for what to do with them. She was going to let them fend for themselves as there was no society or infrastructure on Genosha for them to come back to.

Seriously.
If you have a Wanda who is operating on the power level that she is, it is probably way past time for Krakoa to imprison Wanda as they see fit if Krakoa is going to have to shoulder the blame for whatever Wanda blunder is made exponentially worse by the power she wields.
