Promo for next episode, with a home invasion. I really wonder how they'll deal with this and if some ISA member will actually die.

So they built a FoX-Men Cerebro unit?

I don't know about die. But in the comics (and in Young Justice), Tigress did lose her ability to walk after an injury. And since she's seen fighting Courtney, someone who already put one ISA member in the hospital for a good while, it may not be out of the realm of possibility.

Okay, so no one thinks I'm being stubborn for stubbornness's sake, the photo of the Seven Soldiers might indicate that they are from far in the past. I say this due to the photo being B&W, which went out of style (except for artistic purposes) during the late '60s.

Or a newspaper photo, which still print in black and white for a lot of things (and that looks like the kind of photo a newspaper would take).

That might just be the case, so that's why I'm not claiming it to be definitive proof.

Pat kind of glossed over the fact that Shining Knight has very obviously time-traveled when Rick asked about it.

Justin is definitely from the middle ages without a doubt, Frontier.

Not necessarily, he could be immortal or have been in suspended animation for centuries.

Could be. Might be a perk of Excalibur. Although could also be time-travel :).

I was expecting this to be a Shining Knight episode, and while it was cool to see him reunited with Pat and just how fractured his mind is, this really was Courtney's big episode. She finds out the heartbreaking truth about her father and loses her ability to use the staff only to regain it and her confidence. Pretty awesome!
With Courtney being Stargirl again, I'm looking forward to getting back to the new JSA and her leading the next generation of heroes.
Some people were concerned things were coming a little too quickly to Courtney, but I think they just wanted to start strong, put her in the suit and get the audience involved in the action first, then put her through the ringer before this, which is her "real" origin in terms of her coming into her own the way most origins have this moment right before they put on the full outfit. Otherwise, I'm sure a lot of people would have complained abut it being too slow with her not putting on the suit or using the staff.(like a bunch of people did with Cloak & Dagger) So yeah, it was ultimately a smart way to have your cake and eat it too - start her off suiting up and using the staff, but still craft a story where she does come into her own in a slower way so that we get to see growth.
It definitely had to be this way. This is a superhero legacy show that doesn't shy away from costumed identities. Courtney had to dress as Stargirl and use the staff, but she didn't become Stargirl until later.

When Justin fell to his knees in front of Pat, my heart broke. Luke Wilson continues to steal the show.

and in another universe , another stargirl fight with another icicle. How things change but some things remained the same.
