I was thoroughly excited for this book until it was revealed Brisson has a B-Squad...The Globs...waiting in the wings to steal the spotlight.
I just hope the cast doesn't change too much after the first arc when Hickman leaves.

My issues with Rahne is that she's such a debbie downer half the time. It's not fun to read about.

PAD and X-Force dragged Rahne through the mud for the better part of 15 years AFAIC. I can't believe some of the shit the former did to her, and I like a lot of his vast body of work. A clean slate would be welcome.

She sure has gone through a lot. Poor girl puked her son and shat her father. I hope she gets a break.
My main concern is still Warlock, who is supposed to be a character, not a fancy accessory.

As much as I like Illyana, I'm not sure she should hold her own against a seasoned fighter like Raza.

She was whiny before PAD got hold of her. I disliked her in the original NM books, too. She was self-centered, holier than thou, and generally intolerant. This rant during the X-Tinction Agenda solidified my dislike.

Illyana was skilled enough to survive in Limbo for years. Perhaps she's taking the opportunity to get pointers from alien swordsmasters.

Rahne's the worst member of the original New Mutants. Prove me wrong. You can't.
And for that matter of the NM entirely the only ones that are worse than her are Gosamyr and Birdbrain.
As for the current team, I love all my kids except for Rahne and Mondo. They can go somewhere else.
