Goddamn that looks great! Doom Patrol getting expanded to 7 issues hopefully means preorder numbers are solid.
I hope that the numbers are good and this is not a creative way to say that Burnham is late...

It’s adding another issue, not having an artist replace Burnham, we should be ok. With Burnham you can never be sure though :p. Least they’re self aware enough to not try an ongoing with him.
So damn excited about this book!
I really like the “superhero first responders” concept. If the Justice League are the police that arrive at the scene, the Doom Patrol are social services.
A meta human may be lashing out because they’re in pain or unable to control their powers. The Doom Patrol is there to help them cope with their new abilities.
I'm not really fond of the idea that JL wouldn't try to help.
Dr. Syncho is Doom Patrol's team psychologist. Her powers allow her to channel the higher conciousness of FIVE FIFTH DIMENSIONAL IMPS. 1st appearance is in #2 and if you were subscribed to my newsletter you would have seen this line art from 2 last week!

Well it's kind of both...the extra issue will end up being issue #4 and is going to be drawn by David Lafuente.

Lmao then I take back what I said before, they must already be getting nervous about Burnham getting his work in on time. I love the guy’s art but he is almost Quietly tier slow.

Whoa. Peacemaker Sentinels.
Wait, is this actually developing the Waller/Peacemaker/Light plot!?

Apparently. The robots are called "Peacehammers".

Williamson did say we’d be surprised where Waller showed up next. Also it fits with what Culver has been saying about the archenemies of the DP being the SS.

Well the preorders must be good though since they're adding an issue instead of just taking the delay.
