This is just Trump trying to distract from his failings. The only thing you can really blame the Chinese Government for is not ensuring their wet markets are at a higher standard if hygiene with no living animals for sale. Saying they made it in a lab is tinfoil bs.
You probably should trust the government that doesn't have a track record of purposely infecting its own people with diseases for "research" purposes. Fucking commies, oh wait that was us...
There are reports of the Chinese currently doing that to Uigurs.
There have been epidemic and Pandemic outbreaks for generations. those that could be traced, usually involved animal to human transmission or some kind of viral mutation. Both natural. To assume that isn't the case this time, is a far stretch of the imagination.
Exactly... Even before the world got this small, we had pandemics. The so called Spanish Flu started in Kansas, and there wasn't even commercial flight back then.

Don't forget China's initial hush-up of the virus until the mess got so damn huge, they could no longer keep it quiet. Meanwhile, has the government seen the light and put the wheels in motion to tighten sanitation standards at wet markets so this doesn't happen again? I would hope they have, but I have my doubts.

It’s a huge stretch. Especially considering the wet market situation in China that makes this more likely to happen

That part I agree with. China isn't the only country that hasn't clamped down on these live animal markets. Though poverty often is a diving force in making these types of markets so common. I'm not saying that China doesn't deserve some criticism, that alone should be enough. The rest, unless proven factually, are just conspiracy theories.

Nino Vitale is at it again.
Republican Ohio State Rep. Nino Vitale, who has been a vociferous critic of Republican Gov. Mike DeWine’s stay-at-home orders during the COVID-19 pandemic, believes wearing a mask to slow the spread of the disease would violate his “Judeo-Chrstian Principles.”
In a lengthy Facebook rant flagged by Ohio Capital Journal reporter Tyler Buchanan, Vitale railed against orders to wear face masks when venturing outside, which he claimed violated God’s teaching.
“This is the greatest nation on earth founded on Judeo-Christian Principles,” Vitale wrote. “One of those principles is that we are all created in the image and likeness of God. That image is seen the most by our face. I will not wear a mask.”
What's the alternative though? The meat that you buy at the supermarket wasn't slaughtered in a surgical clean room, but it's just sheltered from public view so we don't think about it as much.

'These hands are gods hands, so why should I wear gloves in the middle of winter during a snowstorm?' frostbite, for one.
That is my response to his idiocy. They just want people to get sick, people like him don't give a *bleep* for anyone but themselves.

Well, yes, but there was a war in Europe and the US was sending soldiers over there just as the flu was starting to spread.

We rely on the government to send inspectors to the processing plants here in the US. In poorer, or dumber, countries they don't do that, especially with outdoor wet markets.

China can build entire cities that don't have people living in them yet. They should be able to train more food inspectors if they want to do so.
