The Undergrowth
When it's discovered that the actions of a number of "world-conqueror" type villains are contributing to the erosion of the Earth's climate, a group of heroes and villains set aside their differences to work together to bring these offenders down, as well as shut down the damage committed by such corporate entities as Roxxon Oil. Though disagreements over methodologies occur, the focus of the mission remains the primary objective to all involved.

In keeping with their mission to promulgate a benevolent, peaceful society for all humanity, the Maria Stark Foundation establishes a team of champions to more directly address countervailing threats, whether at home or abroad, in this universe or the next, in this reality or the next.
Taskmaster & Black Ant
Love the team of Task Master & Black Ant, I would add Ghost, Moonstone, Songbird, Diamondback, and a rotating seventh member who would be the equivalent of the drummer from Spinal Tap (for a novelty or joke band there was a high turnover for drummers) to the duo of Task Master & Black Ant & I'd call it The Thunderbolts :)

Hell's Belles - I want Kate's story from her solo/WCA to lead her to Hell's Kitchen where she faces increasingly supernatural threats that brings in both Misty and Elsa. Shuri and Kwannon get roped in from their own personal missions that tie into the larger narrative. I just really thought this mix of personalities and backgrounds would be fun with a mysticism, machinery, and mutants all culminated into a bad a&% street team.
Kate Bishop
Misty Knight
Elsa Bloodstone
Shuri
Kwannon

No offense to Hickman, Howard, & To, but the upcoming Excalibur doesn't feel like Excalibur to me. I know it's a subjective opinion, but I also know I'm not alone.
I'd circle the wagons around Brian AND Betsy, and cast for "X-Men sexy soap opera" and pair it with Marvel UK's silly sci-fi and tongue-in-cheek testosterone. New father and headmaster of the Braddock Academy, Brian steps back from battlefield in order to take more of a Charles Xavier role. He assembles a roster of Excalibur agents, and a support team headquartered in the tesseract beneath Braddock Manor.

I would read it (or a Mercs for Hire mini incorporating characters like Paladin, Constrictor, etc). Nightshade or The Org could organize them.

I think Black Ant and Task Master just need some big *dumb* brawn on their team, like Armadillo or Grizzly. But in a trench coat and fedora, like The Thing when he's trying to be incognito.
They keep trying to make that work and it never seems to catch on, though. Heroes For Hire a few years ago was good but didn't last, and Bendis' Defenders kind've tanked. Having Spider Man on the team would certainly be a boost if they used him prominently.
yeah plus Bendis left and it was his baby. Maybe 4 characters is not enough ( I know the FF but still ) That last page of the run left me wanting more.

The all get stuck in a pocket dimension together, it would be part "In the Mood for Love" and part "Event Horizon":
Hank Pym
Jan Van Dyne
Havok
Scarlet Witch
Wonder Man
Ultron
Jocasta
