I like to call Björk's 'Immature' with the title 'Spiral Woe (Tribute to Ricochet Rita)'. Because it's a closed loop song, and a moan for an unbalanced love.

Bowie's 'Little Wonder' has got many points in common with Longshot, it looks like a feverish journey across Earth-616 and Mojoverse. Out of orbit eyes, hideous long fingers, vertigo, disturbing places and people, and that shy alien fording through and picking up every junk he bumps into.

Fun fact, I first found out about Kate Pierson not from B-52, but from NiNa, a collab with Yuki Isoya in 1999. It was through one of the songs called "Happy Tomorrow" that was used on the Arc the Lad anime.
I could see that song being used for a much fluffier X-Men concept, actually.

This song was written by my father and performed by him and his band. Il Giardino dei Semplici - they sold 4 million copies and performed 2000 gigs in their 44-year long career.
The title means "Higher than sky" and it fits with the X-Men and their tragic heroism.

Every time I hear Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls, I think of how that song feels tailor made for a X-Men Movie Soundtrack.

I remember Kate being part of that. I think NiNa has former Plastics members too.
Decided to listen to "Building a Mystery" by Sarah McLachlan tonight and it got me thinking of Nightcrawler.
You live in a church
Where you sleep with voodoo dolls
And you won't give up the search
For the ghosts in the halls
You wear sandals in the snow
And a smile that won't wash away
Can you look out the window
Without your shadow getting in the way?
I was surprised to find that NiNa actually has a Wikipedia page, considering they only made one album together. It does include two former members of The Plastics.
The lyrics of this song seem to be made perfectly for Cyclops
