Oh, Revolutionary_Jack wrong as usual. It is loosely based on this popular traditional Chinese saying. The translation (to live in interesting times) is rather clunky but the essence of the saying or prayer/curse is that tranquility is superior to chaos or an uninteresting time is better than an interesting one. -
"Better to be a dog in times of tranquility than a human in times of chaos."
Anyhow, it has been fun but if I stay here much longer my temper might get the best of me and I'll be banned.

Guys guys.
Do not feed the Trolls. They want discord and chaos. If they truly want to see pain and suffering they are horrible people. Do not get into a board fight that gets this close because people need information.
Said closing thread is what they want.
On that note I picked a song to reflect on this ****.
https://youtu.be/7OysMNY1SBE
The Ballad of Bill Hubbard.
In my life soundtrack it’s my song dedicated to world fucking peace.
Context: WW1 vet talking about no mans land. So bad images ( given the fact we are treated to death everyday in the news, does not phase me anymore but gave disclaimer.)
The song: Its not lyrics, but soulful guitar music.
I consider it a song of peace because it reflects that **** can get bad. In WW1 it did. **** looking bad again, but there is fucking hope damnit. Until the day it is denied. ( That and America is literally at war with itself by words, while a virus kills people left and right.)
Disclaimer: Throwing that there to break tension with chill music. Awesome image though as a awesome movie. I hate nihilism too as it is a philosophy that takes all meaning from existence ( so yeah, it’s pointless so “taut” I mean the ****?)
Back to comment or art and high lights latter.
Educational high light: During WW2. America was socialist and German was a hyper right winged fascit’s nation. Yet today the average republican considers socialism evil with communism.
Well eat that red pill when you think of the greatest generation of Americans.

I apologize for getting carried away. I sometimes become angry and say outrageous things when I feel I'm being personally attacked. I don't want this thread closed either. I surrender the field. Please, carry on folks.
Have a pleasant day everyone. :)

True, fortunatly that was seen through and karma was swift. Now if only we can get some of that outside this board we'll be in business.
On Twitter he's now trying to shame Stahl in the interview claiming how she didn't wear a mask to interview him. Its the most stupid bizarre deal and its to try and make the media look wrong.
Seems he’s becoming more mercurial and volatile as the election grows closer. Short and sweet, Trump’s losing his **** on a monumental degree.

Also his claim to being a billionaire is crushed. It says here on some news sources that Trump is running out of cash of his own budget for these stupid rallies.
Maybe it’s true, maybe the crowds are paid for.

Meanwhile, here is what the Biden campaign is actually doing...
Biden eyes GOP candidates for Cabinet slots

That person and another official familiar with the transition deliberations confirmed to POLITICO that Biden staffers are analyzing some Republicans’ backgrounds and resumes as they compile shortlists of candidates for high-profile Cabinet positions. The goal is to have some GOP options among the finalists that Biden would choose from after the election.
Among the names being floated for possible Biden Cabinet posts are Meg Whitman, the CEO of Quibi and former CEO of eBay, and former Ohio Gov. John Kasich, both of whom spoke at August’s Democratic National Convention. Massachusetts GOP Gov. Charlie Baker and former Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) have also been mentioned, as has former Rep. Charlie Dent (R-Pa.), who resigned from Congress in 2018 and became a lobbyist.
When asked for comment, a spokesperson for the Biden transition said only that the team is not making any personnel decisions before the Nov. 3 election, but stressed that “diversity of ideology and background is a core value of the transition.”
You convinced me 30, I won't vote for Biden. that Hunter story that was so bogus even Fox stayed away is enough for me to cast my vote for the Orange Mussolini.
Job well done.

I can imagine Kasich getting some kind of reward for his endorsement of Biden and the Lincoln Project Republicans getting some kudos if Biden wins, yeah. Obama talked about appointing Republicans to his cabinet too in his run up in 2008, and in the end Robert Gates, Dubya's Sec. of Defense continued on under Obama. Obama also nominated Chuck Hagel for CIA chief but that position didn't get confirmed by Senate.

It all depends on what positions they get nominated for. Never Trump Republicans being nominated for foreign policy and some national security positions (the ones where the apparatus was highly non-partisan before Trump) doesn't bother me in the slightest. Keep them away from economic policy.
Outside of that, most people here aren't going to suddenly become anti-Biden because a closet Trumper linked to a right wing populist defending a flimsy story that no reporter actually wanted their name attached to.

Trump’s path to victory is slim but he still has a good chance of winning. I have to give him every close race as most of the governments of toss up states are conservative. DeSantis will see to it that Trump wins if it comes down to a few thousand votes. The past few years have shown just have horrible Georgia's voter suppression tactics are. Unfortunately Trump has made inroads with Latinos so Arizona could go his way. I don’t have a ton of faith in North Carolina.
That just leaves Pennsylvania. If all the close races go Trump’s way and he wins Pennsylvania, he’ll have 278 electoral votes.
-
The toss up States from last time, WI, MI & PA all have Dem Governors. And he probably will lose all three.. What toss ups would he get? AZ? GA?
538 is now giving Trump a 13% chance.

In my scenario (Trump getting 278), i was giving Biden Michigan and Wisconsin.

As the great Bill Walsh once said in a Super Bowl after the team had scored and was ahead , "We play like were behind.."
Its easy to take a lead in something and believe its destined to go that way. How many blown leads have we saw in football games ? No...this game isn't over til Election day and hopefully it falls our way.
