Metaphorically, I hope you mean. I have no interest in seeing a literal version of this scenario.

I hope they'd do it literally, while holding signs that say "Team Dan" and "Team Geoff", their man parts sizes symbolizing exactly the kind of clout each has nowadays.
It would at least make forum discussions funny.

The entirety of the DC Comics staff would get busted for indecency.

It's the long one (and no, I don't mean Dr. Manhattan, Superboy Prime, Dan Didio, or Geoff Johns...oh, God...I've created a monster).

I noticed in issue 10 that they featured the moments with Laurie on Mars and Adrian before Manhattan left the Watchmen universe which IIRC were recalled in dialogue in DC Rebirth and The Button. There must be a reason those two moments are important but I can't put my finger on.

Have Grid return from the dead and shoot him. JK. But it'd be nice if they did that, as revenge for Manhattan taking out one of my favorite characters in the DCU.
I think he's just going to leave. With a warning for the future. But leave either to deal with Adrian in his own universe or to simply keep exploring.
Yeah. Which is a tad upsetting given this article I also linked into the Wally Appreciation Thread: https://aux.avclub.com/geoff-johns-reckons-with-his-dc-comics-legacy-in-doomsd-1835326649 I'm not a huge fan of Geoff Johns, but I do like his imagination when it comes to story ideas. His leaving would be another loss for DC.

He'll end up depowered and human again, but in charge of a comic book company where he can create/destroy/manipulate universes at his whim.
I think they’ll merge the Watchmen Characters into DC proper......then in a few months time introduce a far weaker Manhattan (who has his humanity but lacks the full God Powers.....)
He'll change his mind after being proven about the hope that embodies these heroes.
That's what I think fit with the intent of Rebirth.

Maybe Dr. Manhattan will travel back (or sideways?) in time and become the original Monarch?
