Hmm...
You probably want to look up model sheets from cartoons he's been in.
This help?
I got it into my head that I want to design a Spider-Man costume. I made a very rough sketch but I'm not especially good at drawing so I thought I'd just Photoshop some lineart, since I am at least pretty competent at that. Though, I wanted one where he stands in a simple neutral pose so I'd have to mess around with perspective as little as possible. (Mainly because of the logo, which would be really hard to get right otherwise.)
Turns out, it's very difficult to find pictures of Spider-Man where he just stands up straight facing directly forward. In fact, almost all pictures of him are advanced action poses where he's doing something acrobatic, even ones used as examples in How To Draw type tutorials. o_O
You can always rely on the OHOTMU (Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe) for stuff like that.

First of all: Great artwork grampagen
Second: I thought my character was supposed to be one of them? *Searches the thread* Ah crap, you asked for more notes and I didn't notice. C'est la vie

It's no problem. Thank you for giving us a chance and hope you enjoyed drawing them all.

I might do another one before the year end, we'll see. Gather them notes!

It's good practice, but working with a fixed idea has been quite beneficial to focus and pare things down, that's for sure.

Which notes do you need?

Physical description, some backstory, maybe visual aids

Oh well, the OC I sent this time is a different one, so just pick whichever one you like more.

Found a few like that. (Not as many as you'd think, though.) Could possibly work with the first one, I just wish he didn't stand slightly to the side.
And the vintage comic's version, just for good measure
That's pretty much exactly the sort of pose I'd prefer. Though, like I said before, I'd like one that's just lineart, or one where the lines are clearer like on Nik's first one. I really just want to get the basic pattern and colors down, I'm not really capable of anything more advanced. Anyway, the old-school shading on yours would be very difficult for me to work around.

Neat.

It's Bruce Timm...and that's Shiva? And Ben Turner? And Richard Dragon (nice that they've decided to go with an Asian Richard Dragon, though making him look like Bruce Lee is meh for me).
Good stuff.

Well damn, this whole year for me is making enough backstory that eventually explains the built up to a powder keg of an event that puts my character in a level of infamy he never expected to get.
