Well, as long as it remains linked to the current Ducktales, no problem.
I was excited...right up until it said it was going to be a Disney+ show.

Agreed. Don't see the point of it otherwise after all the work they put into Darkwing on that show.

I hope people don't get too upset if it isn't. I still remember all the whining and moaning when some DC show wasn't part of the DCAU because fans were sure it would spin off from some ep of some other DC show.
Also, consider the fact that all of Darkwing's major enemies (and Liquidator) are stuck in the show-within-a-show on Duck Tales.

What's wrong with Disney+?

I think the thing is how much effort the creators went to create their own take on Darkwing and set him up (even if I didn't agree with every creative decision) on Ducktales, only for them to go ahead and make a whole different Darkwing show (if that is the case here).
I remember someone online theorizing that a proper spinoff would introduce "real" versions of Darkwing's villains that let the creators update them somewhat.

Are they holding to that though?
The Ducktales in-universe Darkwing show, could just as easily be revealed to be based on a "real" in-universe Darkwing.
Yes, I've been waiting for this ever since the Darkwing Duck episode aired as part of the New Ducktales. I hope they use the characters' backstories as established there: Darkwing's and Negaduck's origins were perfection for our time, IMO.

It means that some of us can't watch it (and probably no DVD or digital releases as alternatives).
Hopefully TaleSpin next!
