The Starjammers are working out with Carol Danvers, who lost her superhuman powers to Rogue but is still in extraordinary shape, thanks to her modified genes.
Later, Carol and the X-Men see a TV interview with Senator Kelly that leads them to believe the government will soon start investigating mutants.
Moira MacTaggert tells everyone that Charles Xavier worked with the government when he first created the X-Men [B][SIZE=1]with the FBI agent Fred Duncan[/SIZE][/B],
and that the government has records of all of them!
Carol, Ororo, and Logan sneak into the Pentagon under false papers with the goal to erase the records. However, while they're there they run into Rogue

It is!:) To me, the likes of awesome writers like Chris Claremont and Roger Stern crafted some of [B][SIZE=1]to me[/SIZE][/B] marvelous stories. To me, these gents did some terrific innovative storytelling and directions for the likes of marvel characters like Ms. Marvel, Captain Marvel and Binary. [B][SIZE=1]To me, Claremont and Stern were anything BUT hackneyed.[/SIZE][/B]

The Soviet Super Soldiers, still trapped in the predicament from last issue, finally break free early, as Gremlin exits his armor and shakes Darkstar,
releasing them from her powers. They all agree to go after Magneto once more, to make him pay for his crimes long ago.

On the Blackbird, the X-Men are discussing things but Magneto remains quiet about all the things going on with the Asteroid.
Druid, still in the jet believes he is hiding something, and Magneto seems to realize that Druid is actually there.

Druid then tries to make contact with the Avengers, before the X-Men attack him, as Magneto realized he was there. Rogue absorbs his powers and memories
and tells them all that he didn't give away their location. All three teams then arrive in Singapore, after Druid awakens and alerts the Avengers.

Vanguard recognizes Havok in the streets, but is attacked by Wolverine before he can do anything. Rogue then absorbs his powers and memories and
the entire X-Men team flees to a ship on the bay. There, Storm confronts Magneto.

The Soviets arrive at the ship and attack the X-Men, but during the battle, Crimson Dynamo purposely causes the ship to sink.
The Avengers arrive, and all three teams assist in the evacuation of the boat.
