What Things Did Other DC Media Do Better Than The Comics?
A more cohesive timeline generally, just look to Young Justice on it’s moving Timeline.

The other media is NOT scared of developing character.
If we were to go by entitled comic book fan who thinks only A listers should get EVERYTHING. Outside media does NOT have an issue of showing the protentional of a character.
Stargirl got a show when she couldn't SNIFF a comic book appearance.
Cyborg, Raven, Starfire and Beast Boy are better characters outside comics.
Bumblebee can find usage in a few tv shows that outnumber her comic book appearances.
Aqualad, Cassandra Cain and Raven can actually lead a novel.
Video media has an easier time conveying a character's personality. That's not to say comics can't do it, but not as economically.
A more streamlined history for most TV shows.
Taking the best elements of the comics and weeding out the crap. (Smallville, most of the Arrow-verse shows, Stargirl, YJ, Nolan movies)
Second and third tier characters getting a public appearance they wouldn't get in the comics.
Circe's simplified motivation for being an enemy of Wonder Woman in JLU.
About the only positive contribution the DCAU made to Wonder Woman.
Jokes are usually funnier.

POC characters have way more favorable showings than in the comics.
Justice League Unlimited showed that the Satellite League could still work with new members.
Batman: Brave and the Bold and Batman the Animated Series both show a Batman with different facets to his character.
And the Joker isn't the main villain in every story.
Young Justice wasn't without its flaws (Dick Grayson acted more like Tim Drake and Wally West acted more like Bart Allen), but it did give one of the better Teen Titans, even if it wasn't technically the Titans.
They also used the Bialyan Queen Bee in a nice updating of her character, where in the comics she was swept under the rug with most of the JLI because that era wasn't liked by many in charge.
However, I do prefer the comics Cheshire over the cartoon version.
It feels like this was created to bag on the publisher. But I think they are better at putting the spotlight on lesser-known characters. Not saying that to be a negative nancy like most on here. But at the same time I respect that the comics and outside media are seperate.

I know Bruce Timm isn't know for his great portrayal of female characters, but why do Wonder Woman fans disapprove of her DCAU version?
In case of TV-Shows, getting way more stories out in the same time (without changing of direction or creative team). Which makes it much better at building up characters.

She was often portrayed as aggressive and stuck-up, while the qualities she's known for (compassion, diplomacy, sisterhood with other women) were barely present, her lasso was nerfed for 99% of the show, her villains were treated poorly (especially Cheetah), and her crushing on Batman was obnoxious.
using irrelevant characters

Wally West acted more like Bart Allen

What are you talking about? Bart's whole thing is being hyperactive. Wally had none of that in the Young Justice tv show.
I haven't read much about Starfire but I think the Teen Titans version of her is a much more positive take on the character based solely on the fact that she isn't designed to get boners, but still has a carefree personality and outfit.
I haven't read any Hawkman comics, but it seems like JLU has one of the best takes on his origin. Apparently Venditti recently "fixed" the character's backstory.
