I believe so.
I think the first one was a Harley mini (not sure how many issues but prob around 6), called Red and White. Was a digital only at first, may or may not have issued it in print. I believe the premise was/is to approach characters with stories done in their most basic colors.

Batman Black and White was originally from 1996, if I remember correctly. There were a few more volumes afterward. The Harley one is much more recent and the first time it went beyond Batman, and the first to include a new color.
But this trend started with Batman.

This is most certainly not the time to fold 'em!
So is this where superman fans go of they don't want everything about Jon?
Hopefully because it's 6 issues the quality will be high.
Does anybody know why DC would call this red and blue?
Yeah it looks like these stories are going to jump around throughout Superman’s career. One person working on the first issue seems to be telling an early years Superman tale going off art I saw. It’s called Blue & Red because the only colors will be blue & red. Batman has a series called Black & White that this is obviously in contrast of.
Definitely a good idea. Looks interesting. But I'll have to wait for more info, details, etc before I commit to purchasing ... maybe wait for the collected edition.

Ah, makes sense. The promo material for the Harley book specifically mentions the original Batman BW as inspiration. Sounds like a cool concept, could lead to some interesting visual for the Superman book. If nothing else its something new and different than the standard monthlies.

God I’m so excited! Wes is an amazing artist :)
I'm glad those who don't like "specifically" what is happening in the monthly books has this to still read great superman stories.
Btw remember 5g.i think we are leaving it, just without a 5g banner. Jon looks to be taking over, and Clark has a series off to the side for those who don't want to read about Jon taking the throne

I'm intrigued.
This looks stunning!
Superman Beyond, I know, but it seems like given their chosen colors that there's got to be at least ONE story in here that uses ye olde 3D glasses.
This piece by Juan Ferreyra looks like it was achieved with two colour printing--

--but other examples look like they would need a three or even four colour press run. Seems like a waste of money to do a four colour printing when they could save so much time and money doing a two colour printing.

If this is typical of what we're getting, this actually doesn't look bad.
