Posters were very Warren x Betsy. Fantomex was seen as an encroacher. He also once claimed that Jean Grey's hip placement in her body language indicated that she wanted to have sex with him, and Jean fans weren't having it. Never forgave him for suggesting such dirrrty things about the Phoenix saint.
I don't have a problem with that, she was sex starved for too long. At least she kept her pants

Honestly, those two would be a wild hookup. They both have villainous duplicates, muddled senses of self, and are next level control freaks. The sex alone could shatter a building.
HOX/POX mentions that Charles has recently least once transferred his consciousness to a new body, I could be wrong but I'm almost certain it was stated on one of those explanation blurb pages.
I'll ask why does everyone hate Fantomex, I remember it being at its height a few years ago and even then I didn't get it? Not my favorite but I thought he made an interesting addition to the X-family, plus Remender did a pretty good job with him.
It seemed like post-Remender, the only thing writers could think to do with Fantomex was to rehash Remender's material. Exceptions for Humphries and Spurrier.
Would he be on the list though considering that he’s not actually a mutant? This actually raises an interesting question about that when it comes to those who have been among them like Fantomex, Ink or even those who lost their powers during Decimation and didn’t get them back but died.
Fantomex is probably a mutant. He's been referred to as such more recently than the opposite, far as I'm aware. An unintentional retcon, perhaps. But nonetheless he's been treated as a mutant. Hope was able to mimic his powers in X-Force.
So he's either a mutant or a dragon.

My money is on him being a dragon.
The fake French accent gave it away long ago.

This is canon and he deserves nothing less. What a absolutely dreadful character

Yeah he sucked.
Cluster was always better to Betsy.

He's a good character.
Just not a good person.
On any level.
But sometimes you need characters like that.

BRING BACK FANTOMEX!!!
After Xavier of course, just to piss his haters off, lol

Didn't know Fantomex had this many critics. Interesting.
Sure he's a character with a complicated-ish back story but I always found him charming.
He was fantastically written in Remender's UXF.
I'd like him back. Think he'll fit right in with the field team of X-Force.
The Le Pew-Logan dynamic alone is always fun (well when written well).
-
I also heard that some fans think he is the dicount Gambit version: charming, french talking, likes to rob and screw up things. Uses a trenchcoat
It doesn't help

I would rather have this on the end of Morrison's run LOL

I don't want Fantomex to be brought back via the Five as I think it would be more interesting to explore the fact he uploaded his mind into The World network taking over it as a way to bring him back.

Agreed. I would take it a step further and say that the Five can’t bring him back as even though some form of psyche is in the Astral Plane, the entire World merged with Fantomex and he isn’t technically dead but maybe considered posthuman/postmutant.
Our ResurreXion prayers were heard! I wonder if Ink will traumatize us with his presence again by joining some anti-mutant group as revenge.
Or he could go the opposite way and be heavily pro-mutant, having seen first-hand the bullshit they have to deal with. Just... anything that even resembles doing something halfway interesting with his pseudo-mutant status would be nice. Of course, I'm also cool with him sinking entirely into obscurity.

Yes, this makes sense. I wonder if Hickster will use him in this capacity.
